چکیده
Data on meniscal repair after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction (ACLR) is scarce. This study aimed to report clinical outcomes and failure rate for isolated repairs in patients with a prior history of ACLR. was collected who underwent stable knee ACLR minimum follow-up 2 years. Preoperative evaluation stability performed instrumented differential laxity. Tegner activity scale, ACL Return Sport After Injury (ACL-RSI) Lysholm score, Western Ontario Meniscal Evaluation Tool (WOMET) subjective International Knee Documentation Committee (IKDC) Osteoarthritis Outcome (KOOS) score were reported at the final follow-up. Clinical Failure defined as recurrence lesion previously sutured meniscus by or radiological evaluation, reoperation secondary meniscectomy. 32 mean 89.39 ± 29.50 months (range 29-150) included. Mean preoperative side laxity 1.53 1.01 millimeter 0-4). The lateral (LM) involved 20 tears (62.5%) medial (MM) 12 (37.5%). overall 46.87% (n = 15). No significant difference found (P=.784) between MM 6, 50%) LM 9, 45%) rate, different (P>.05). Good excellent cohort. Failed showed lower ACL-RSI (P=.047), IKDC (P=.019), (P=.023) KOOS (P=.038) scores compared successful ones. risk factor identified multivariate analysis. Despite fact that appeared be high, new should encouraged considering good functional outcomes.

Meniscal tears after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.
The aim of this study was to follow patients in whom preoperative MRI demonstrated grade-3 lesions in the medial meniscus but no visible tears at arthroscopic ACL reconstruction, and to ascertain whether these meniscal lesions would progress to definite tears after reconstruction. The Study population consisted of 19 patients with a mean age of 23.2 years. Intraoperative arthroscopy showed norm...
متن کاملSuccess of meniscal repair at anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.
BACKGROUND Meniscal repair is performed in an attempt to prevent posttraumatic arthritis resulting from meniscal dysfunction after meniscal tears. The socioeconomic implications of premature arthritis are significant in the young patient population. Investigations and techniques focusing on meniscus preservation and healing are now at the forefront of orthopaedic sports medicine. HYPOTHESIS C...
متن کاملClinical Outcomes After Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction
BACKGROUND Clinical outcomes of autograft and allograft anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstructions are mixed, with some reports of excellent to good outcomes and other reports of early graft failure or significant donor site morbidity. OBJECTIVE To determine if there is a difference in functional outcomes, failure rates, and stability between autograft and allograft ACL reconstructions....
متن کاملMeniscal tearing after ACL reconstruction.
The knees of 72 patients with unilateral anterior-cruciate- ligament (ACL) injury were analyzed before ACL reconstruction as well as by follow-up arthroscopy on the day of staple removal. At ACL reconstruction 31 lateral menisci and 40 medial menisci were found to be normal. 28 lateral menisci and 24 medial menisci were treated surgically, while 13 lateral menisci and 8 medial menisci with smal...

Background: Meniscus tear is a common finding in patients with anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury and may affectthe natural history of the injury and the outcomes of treatment. In the current study, the characteristics of meniscus tearsin patients who underwent arthroscopic ACL reconstruction were investigated. Methods: The hospital records of 1022 patients were reviewed. ...
